A New Day
Blog entry by admin posted 2025-05-05 12:54:21
When I lost my daughter a few years ago, I realised that my life would never be the same again. All our plans and dreams that we made together vanished in an instant.
I read a verse in the Bible today that resonated with me. It reads, "My days have passed, my plans are shattered, and so are the desires of my heart." ( Job 17:11).  Yes, I can identify with Job's cry in this verse. Do you ever feel like your plans and dreams have been shattered right in front of you?  In life, our plans, our dreams and the desires of our hearts may sometimes be shattered but don't be discouraged.

It may be a loss of a child or a spouse, a marriage that has failed, it may be the loss of your health or mind or any life changes. People experience it every day.
Do you know God can give you a new day, a new plan and a new desire of your heart?
If we continue reading the Bible, we can see God blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first. (Job 42:12).  I am encouraged, as I see people who have shattered dreams let God use them to His Glory!

I look forward to hearing the new things that God is doing in your life.

Angela.

Thanks for the encouragement. The lesson is for us to remember  that pain, sorrow and loss is real.

Angie, I read your story and found it very inspiring and touching. I want to share it with our church this Sunday to inspire our members that there is Hope in every trial.
Thanks for sharing.

I always think about the numerous times I pulled through.

My God will never bring me through the storm only to let me drown....

My God will see me through it ALL...
I know My Redeemer liveth!

When God says YES, it doesn't matter who says NO because our God always has the first and last WORD over our lives. That last WORD over your life VICTORY!
God is making a WAY for you. Only Believe!

So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. He had also seven sons and three daughters. And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Keren–happuch.

And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren. After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations. Amen.

~Job 42:12-16
