TRAINING TO SEE GOD Psalm 16:5-11 When David looked at his life, he saw God’s fingerprints all over it. We, too, should train our eyes to notice indications of our heavenly Father’s presence. But this isn’t a now-and-then kind of thing—it’s a lifestyle. I developed a habit years ago that has helped me do this: Before I go to sleep, I try to recall the events of my day. What I’m really doing is looking for evidence of God at work. How did He guide this decision? Answer this question? Protect me in this situation? Help me in this relationship? Appreciating the Lord’s handiwork etches the reality of His care more deeply in my heart. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God” (Matt. 5:8). In other words, those with a clear conscience will cast out unholy thoughts and words, taking them captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). As a result, such believers have a spiritual clarity that makes them more aware of God’s involvement in their circumstances. The evidence of God’s great power is all over your life, if only you will look for it. Viewing the world with wide-open spiritual eyes changes one’s perspective from “I can’t” to “I can because God enables me.” Live confidently, knowing our loving, omnipotent God dwells within you. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but THE LORD delivers us from them all. Ps 34:19. “Sometimes we look around and ask ourselves, ‘Why so much warfare?’ But we have to understand that the devil is not fighting us for where we are going but for where GOD is taking us. Battles and wars will be part and parcel of our language as Christians. We can only live a life of victory because you go through battles. It’s all about trusting GOD. The battle belongs to THE LORD. HIS PRESENCE will go with us. HIS STAFF AND HIS ROD will comfort us. HE will appear in the furnace as the fourth man.” Glory Hallelujah! Amen!!

Children are a gift - an amazing blessing from God. Every single day we may find ourselves doing a lot for our kids, loving and caring for them, nurturing, teaching, training, helping, leading, equipping, encouraging, protecting, and so much more. We spend precious hours just living out life, helping with homework, and driving them to activities. We spend money on sports, lessons, and various classes to help them grow and become all they can be, providing opportunities for them to do what they most love in this world. But in the midst of busy, full lives, we have to ask ourselves: Are we praying for our powerful, promise-filled, hope-inspired prayers for our children. Are we praying God’s powerful Word and promises over our childrens lives? I’m freshly aware, and challenged to pray more. There’s a battle over our families today, and the enemy would love nothing more than to destroy all that we hold dear in this life. He’s ruthless and cunning, deceitful and sly. He’ll attack when we’re not watching, he’ll do everything he can to lure our kids his way. Don’t let him win.

As you pray, as you fast, as you set yourself to seek the Lord, you are setting yourself to do what the Shunamite woman did Your Fasting and Praying is you making your move to God.

I secure my borders and I ask the good Lord to protect me and my children in the mighty name of Jesus and the Blood of Jesus purge and cleanse my internal organs and let my body become the temple of the Holy Spirit. Glory Hallelujah!

The journey is short. An elderly woman got on a bus and sat down. At the next stop, a strong, grumpy young lady climbed up and sat down beside the old woman, hitting her with her numerous bags. When she saw that the elderly woman remained silent, the young woman asked her why she had not complained when she hit her with her bags? The elderly woman replied with a smile: "There is no need to be rude or discuss something so insignificant, as our journey together is so short, because I am going to get off at the next stop." This answer deserves to be written in gold letters: "There is no need to discuss something so insignificant, because our journey together is too short." Each of us must understand that our time in this world is so short that darkening it with useless arguments, jealousy, not forgiving others, discontentment and bad attitudes are a ridiculous waste of time and energy. Did someone break your heart? Stay calm. The trip is too short. Did someone betray, intimidate, cheat or humiliate you? Relax. Don't stress. The trip is too short. Did someone insult you without reason? Shake it off. Ignore it. The trip is too short. Did a neighbor make a comment that you didn't like? Take a deep breath. Ignore him/her. Forgive and forget it. The trip is too short. Whatever problem someone has brought us, remember that our journey together is too short. No one knows the length of our trip. Nobody knows when it will arrive at its stop. Our trip together is short. Let us appreciate friends and family. Let us be respectful, kind and forgiving. In return, we will be filled with gratitude and joy. Psalm 142 (A special psalm and a prayer by David when he was in the cave.) A Prayer for Help I pray to you, Lord.     I beg for mercy. I tell You all of my worries     and my troubles, and whenever I feel low,  You are there to guide me. A trap has been hidden     along my pathway. Even if You look,  You won’t see anyone     who cares enough     to walk beside me. There is no place to hide,     and no one who really cares. I pray to You, Lord! You are my place of safety and You are my choice     in the land of the living. Please answer my prayer.     I am completely helpless. Help me! They are chasing me and they are too strong. Rescue me from this prison,     so I can praise Your name. And when your people notice your wonderful kindness to me, they will rush to my side. Amen!

Proverbs 20:7 The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him. Heavenly Father, Today we ask You to bless our earthly fathers for the many times they reflected the love, strength, generosity, wisdom and mercy that You exemplify in Your relationship with us, Your children. We honor our fathers for putting our needs above their own convenience and comfort; for teaching us to show courage and determination in the face of adversity; for challenging us to move beyond self-limiting boundaries; for modeling the qualities that would turn us into responsible, principled, caring adults. Not all our fathers lived up to these ideals. Give them the grace to acknowledge and learn from their mistakes. Give us the grace to extend to them the same forgiveness that you offer us all. Help us to resist the urge to stay stuck in past bitterness, instead, moving forward with humility and peace of heart. We ask Your blessing on those men who served as father figures in our lives when our biological fathers weren't able to do so. May the love and selflessness they showed us be returned to them in all their relationships, and help them to know that their influence has changed us for the better. In Jesus' name. Amen!
