PROVERBS 9:8-9
8-Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you;
rebuke the wise and they will love you.
9-Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still;
teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.
~ Ecclesiastes 3:1

Sometimes bad things happen to good people. But how do you make peace with this thought, especially when you are fighting back anger, hurt, betrayal, or loneliness? It's important to realize God has perfect timing, even when we can't understand it. Without placing your faith in His timing, you leave room for resentment, despair, and rebellion. When you can't see the work God is doing through tragedy, remain faithful in knowing God's timing is perfect.

SCRIPTURE:
Then Pharaoh took his signet ring off his hand and put it on Joseph's hand; and he clothed him in garments of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.

~Genesis 41:42

MESSAGE:
Overnight, God turned around the life of Joseph from an abandoned and rejected immigrant to a favoured and respected leader. He had suffered from the jealousy of his brothers, the malice of his boss’ wife and the abuse of prison life. Considering the apparent retrogression of his life ...the obvious conclusion was that Joseph was headed for a life of frustration and bitterness. At almost every turn of his life, something had gone wrong.

One day the routine and pattern of his life was interrupted. God stepped into the cycle of frustration and restarted a new pattern of blessing for him. This was not a random act of God. It was simply the appointed time for Joseph to begin reaping the rewards of all the years of faithfulness and service that had previously gone unrewarded.
• Joseph’s hands which a few hours ago had been in prison chains now wore the king’s signet ring.
• Joseph’s clothes which a few hours ago were general prison issue, were now the robes of royalty.
• Joseph’s neck which a few hours ago bore burdens in prison was now adorned with a beautiful gold chain.

In less than twenty four hours, God took everything that was a shame and a reproach to Joseph and replaced it with honour. He is still in the transformation business. He can change the routine and pattern of your life. MAY GOD GIVE YOU A JOSEPH EXPERIENCE, AND CROWN YOU WITH HONOUR!!!

The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.
 ~Exodus 14:14

When you find yourself full of despair and hopelessness, look to God. When everyone around you says it can't be done, it's not worth your energy, or you have too much to lose; Do not allow your obstacle to appear larger than what God can handle. Remember God is greater than the obstacle at hand.
Have faith in Him and He will fight the battle for you.

"Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you."
 ~Deuteronomy 31:8

The ups and downs in life bring beauty in unforeseen ways. There are life events that batter us down. However, your faith can determine the outcome. It's easy to stay beaten in a lonely place by focusing on yourself as a victim. Or, you can overcome this and recover by placing your faith in God. Even more, you can come out a better person and excel beyond your imagination. Remember, God has the power to make things we can't see appear. I

In Genesis 12, God tells Abraham to leave his homeland and go to a new place. At the time, it didn't make a lot of sense to Abraham because he was comfortable where he was. He had family and friends, and he was familiar with the land. Abraham could have easily chosen to stay right where he was, but he knew that if he would step out of his comfort zone, God would give him something better.

Abraham and his family, along with his nephew Lot and Lot's entire family, packed up and headed out into the unknown. As time went on, they experienced so much increase in their livestock that the land couldn't support both families, so Lot and Abraham agreed to part ways.

Abraham offered Lot the opportunity to choose which land he wanted to settle on. He said to Lot, "You choose first, and I'll take whatever is left." Lot looked out as far as he could see in both directions and chose the best part of the land, the plain of Jordan. Scripture describes it as a well-watered garden, so beautiful and lush. When Abraham looked in the other direction, it wasn't a well-watered garden; it looked more like the desert. It didn't look very appealing—there were few trees and little grass.

If you have been going through some changes in your life that you don't understand, or if it looks like you don't have the favor you once had in a certain area, God may be stirring you out of the old so He can bring you into something new and better. It's not always comfortable, and it may not be the easiest way. Sometimes it may look like you missed out, but if you will embrace the future and keep an attitude of faith and expectancy, then God can open the right doors for you.

Abraham never complained or criticized Lot for taking the best part of the land. He didn't try to bargain with him. He didn't question God; he just trusted. Right after all this took place, the Lord said to Abraham in Genesis 13:14–15, "Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever."  What an amazing promise! Abraham stepped out, and of course, God fulfilled His promise to Abraham, and He will fulfill His promise to you!

"We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps." (Proverbs 16:9, NLT).
