We live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 Unless it’s whipped up into a frenzy, we hardly notice the wind. Yet without it, the world would be very different, and many kinds of life would struggle to survive. After all, wind moves weather systems, and breezes carry seeds, pollen, water, and a constant supply of oxygen. Wind is a force that we do not see; we only see and feel its effects. Similarly, we do not see the great force of our great God as we walk through our days, but everywhere we look we see and feel the effects of His presence with us, His goodness, His generosity, His love, and His grace. Rather than only checking in with God about big issues in our day, may we live with our eyes and heart wide open to seeing and celebrating evidence of His goodness and love. Here’s a handful of ideas to help you start seeing more clearly evidence of God in your world: • If you’re reading this, you woke up this morning. That means you’re breathing. • If you can read this, that means someone taught you to read. That means you received an education. • If you are reading this at the breakfast table, you have food to eat. And a home. • If you are reading this in your work space, you have income. • If you found time to read this, you had at least a few minutes to yourself. This list could go on, but the point is that even when we don’t see God, we can see evidence of His presence and experience the blessed effects of that presence. May we never overlook the Provider of these blessings, big and small. Pause for just a moment today to notice the wind—or at least evidence of its presence. Pause, too, to take a spiritual breath of the Holy Spirit. Thank Him for the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control He brings into your life. — From Devotions from the Garden

1. Understand that it is only the living God that can deliver you from the rod of the wicked. 2. Do a thorough self-examination. If you are not born again yet, get born again. 3. Start to walk in the perfect way of God. 4. Refuse to habour pride and hate in your heart. 5. Ask for forgiveness from God from your sins before you pray.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. (NLT) - Psalm 20:7 Think about it, we board a plane, get served hot meals, and surf the internet all while cruising at an altitude of 30,000 feet traveling at a speed of 600 miles per hour. Most of us, nonchalantly put our faith in the airplane and crew that we will have a safe landing. Against all those obstacles, we should not find it hard to entrust our lives to God!

Exodus 15:23-25New King James Version (NKJV) 23 Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah.[a] 24 And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” 25 So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.

Everyone feels afraid many times during life. However, when the Bible instructs us to "fear not," it doesn't mean not to feel afraid; rather, it means to decide to press on even in the face of fear. Several times, the Israelites were instructed to "be strong and courageous." For example, in Deuteronomy 31:6, Moses commanded Israel: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Even in the face of fear, we too must "be strong and courageous." Indeed, we are encouraged in 1 Corinthians 16:13 to be men of courage; be strong. So, next time you feel afraid, overcome your feelings through prayer so that you can "be strong and courageous."
